Our Hippo Savings (Trust) daily-interest savings account can be started by anyone for a child/youth under the age of 18. It's a great way to introduce kids to saving money.

Osuuspankki gives a "hippo bank" for collecting cash to help save money. We keep the key to the hippo bank, so when it's full, it may be brought in and the money gets deposited into the Hippo Savings daily-interest account.  This account offers a higher interest rate than our regular daily-interest savings account.

Save up to $100 in your Hippo Savings account and then transfer it for a 1-, 2- or 3-year term deposit. With the Hippo Trust Account, we make it easier to save earning a higher interest rate for that special child.

Hippo-tapahtuma 2011 / Hippo Club Party 2011We had a fabulous celebration again at the Extreme Fun Indoor Playground.  The Hippo-kisat took place on November 6th, to allow for those people who have cottages to attend as well. 

To attend this free annual event, you must receive a special invitation.  Children (ages newborn to 11) must have a trust account with an up-to-date address.  This is an RSVP only event, due to fire regulations.  As in previous years, there were many different activities for all ages, snacks for everyone and lots of fun for the whole family!  Have a look at the event photos for a better idea of what to expect.  Do you know any other financial institutions that throw a free party for it's younger members?  Children even get loot bags!
