it is important to announce in every place possible, about the wonderful gift
which Eero Blomberg has given the Finnish community.
Eero Blomberg was born in Terijoki Finland on February 26th, 1926. He
moved to Canada in 1953.
Eero valued a strong education and bequeathed much of his estate to the
Finnish Credit Union for a scholarship fund to be set up for the younger Finnish-
Canadian generations. He set out specific stipulations in his will as to how the
"Eero's Memorial Fund" was to operate. This year, the Finnish Credit Union is
proud to present four (4) bursaries in the amounts of $5,000 each. The appli-
cation which can be found online and is also available at our branch, is to be
submitted by September 30th, 2011. The application stipulates all aspects of
the "Eero's Memorial Fund". Read here before the end of the year to see who
received the scholarships.
